What does the blood oxygen reading on your watch mean?

Your blood oxygen (SpO2) reading shows how much oxygen is in your blood. A reading between 95% and 100% is normal. Anything consistently below 90% is worth talking to a doctor about.

Your watch measures blood oxygen by shining a light on your wrist and checking how much oxygen your blood is carrying. This number changes throughout the day. It's higher when you're active and breathing hard, and lower when you're resting or asleep. Most people stay between 95-100%, and that's normal. If your reading is consistently below 90%, that's worth mentioning to your doctor.
