Transparency mode not letting outside sound through on earbuds
Transparency mode is probably turned off in the app, the microphones are blocked, or the earbuds need an update. Check the earbud app first to make sure transparency mode is turned on. If it's on and you still can't hear outside, clean the microphone ports and restart your earbuds.
Transparency mode uses microphones on the earbuds to pick up outside sound and play it back to you. This lets you hear traffic, voices, and your surroundings while keeping your music playing softly. If it stops working, the mics are probably blocked or the feature is turned off.

Skip — I just want a technicianCommon mistakes to avoid
- Turning on transparency in the app but forgetting to activate it on the earbuds themselves. Both levels might need to be set.
- Not realizing the microphone ports can be blocked and preventing transparency from working.
- Assuming transparency mode should work perfectly like it did new. Performance can degrade over time.
