Noise cancellation not working on wireless earbuds
Noise cancellation is probably turned off in the app or on the earbuds, or the mic ports that pick up ambient sound are blocked by earwax or dust. Check the app first, then clean the microphone ports on the earbuds. This fixes it for most people.
Noise cancellation uses microphones on the earbuds to listen to background sound and create an opposite sound to cancel it out. If it stops working, the mics are probably blocked, it's turned off in the app, or there's a software issue. We'll check each of these.

Skip — I just want a technicianCommon mistakes to avoid
- Forgetting to turn on noise cancellation in the app. The button might be physical but the feature is controlled in software.
- Not realizing the earbuds need a good seal to work. If they're sitting loose, no ANC can fix it.
- Using harsh cleaning methods that damage the microphone ports. Gently wipe only, never scrub.
