4K content not actually playing in 4K on your TV
Your TV probably isn't set to accept 4K signals. Go to Settings and turn on 4K Resolution or HDMI Enhanced Mode. Also check that your HDMI cable is at least HDMI 2.0 and plugged into a 4K-compatible port on the TV.
Playing 4K content requires three things: a 4K TV that's set to accept 4K signals, a 4K-compatible HDMI cable, and the content source plugged into the right HDMI port. Most of the time the TV settings are turned off or the cable is too old. Turning on 4K Resolution in the settings and using a newer HDMI cable fixes it almost every time.
