Roku won't connect to WiFi or keeps disconnecting
Restart your Roku and WiFi router, make sure your WiFi network name is visible (not hidden), and double-check the password. Most older Roku devices work only with 2.4GHz WiFi, not 5GHz.
Roku connection problems are caused by weak WiFi signal, wrong password, a hidden network name, or the Roku trying to connect to a WiFi band it doesn't support. Restarting both devices fixes most cases.

Skip — I just want a technicianCommon mistakes to avoid
- Not restarting both Roku and router when troubleshooting
- Entering password incorrectly (forgetting about case sensitivity)
- Not checking if the Roku supports the WiFi band (5GHz vs 2.4GHz) being used
- Not verifying the correct WiFi network if router broadcasts multiple names
Signs you need professional help
- If Roku successfully connects to phone hotspot but not to your main WiFi — your router can need factory reset or professional service
- If Roku fails to connect to any network including phone hotspot — the Roku's WiFi hardware can be faulty and require replacement
