Your Chromecast won't connect or keeps disconnecting

Chromecast won't connect if the WiFi signal is weak or if it's on a different network than your phone. First, move it closer to your router. Then unplug it from power for 30 seconds, plug it back in, and let it restart completely.

Chromecast needs a strong, stable WiFi connection and needs to be on the same network as your phone or tablet. If the signal is weak, it won't connect. If it disconnects after working, your router can be dropping the connection or there's interference from other devices. We'll restart it, check your WiFi signal strength, and move it to a better location if needed.
