Alexa doesn't understand what you're saying or gives wrong responses

Alexa is having trouble hearing you clearly or the microphone needs to be reset. Start by turning off Alexa by unplugging the device for 30 seconds, then plug it back in. This clears any stale audio data that might be causing misunderstandings.

Alexa misunderstands commands when the microphone is not hearing you clearly, when there is too much background noise, when the device is too far away, or when the voice model needs to be refreshed. We will restart Alexa, move closer to it, reduce background noise, and reset the voice recognition so it learns your voice pattern again.
