Camera recording at the wrong resolution or quality
Your camera resolution was changed to a lower setting. Probably to save storage or battery. Go into your camera's app and look for Recording Quality or Video Resolution in Settings. Change it back to the highest option your camera supports.
Security cameras have settings that control how sharp and clear the video is. Lower resolution saves storage space and battery, but makes video too blurry to see details. Someone likely changed the setting by accident or to free up space. Changing it back to high quality takes just a few taps.
- ✓Open your camera app and look at recent recordings. Is the picture blurry or pixelated?
- ✓Check Settings or Video Settings in the app. What resolution is selected?
- ✓Does your camera support higher resolution than what's currently set?

Skip, I just want a technicianCommon mistakes to avoid
- Changing the setting in the app but not waiting for it to take effect on new recordings
- Setting quality to high but leaving an auto-adjust feature on that overrides it
- Assuming the camera hardware is broken when really just the setting needs to be changed
Signs you need professional help
- You've set quality to high but recordings still look blurry. Your camera doesn't offer resolution options above 720p and you need better quality.
