Motion detection zones won't save in camera app

Zones don't save when your WiFi drops during the save, your camera's firmware is outdated, or the app cache is corrupted. Make sure your WiFi signal is strong, update your camera's software, and restart the app completely.

Motion zones are stored on your camera and should stay saved even after closing the app. They fail to save when WiFi cuts out mid-save, when your camera's software is old, or when the app's cache gets corrupted. Strong WiFi, updated firmware, and a fresh app restart fix this in 10 minutes.

  • Check your WiFi signal in the app. You need at least 2-3 bars or -70 dBm or stronger
  • Look at the camera status in the app. It should show 'Online' or 'Connected', not 'Offline'
  • Close the app completely (don't just minimize) and reopen it to clear the cache
