Smart plug shows offline in the app but the light is still on

The plug has lost its WiFi connection but your device is still getting power. Unplug the smart plug from the outlet for 10 seconds, then plug it back in and wait 30 seconds for it to reconnect. If it still shows offline, the plug is too far from your WiFi router and needs to be moved closer or repositioned.

Smart plugs need WiFi to talk to your phone app. But they pass power through fine even when WiFi is down. So your lamp still works, but the app loses control. A simple restart reconnects the plug within 30 seconds. If the plug is far from your router or there's interference, it can not be able to hold a WiFi connection, which is why it keeps dropping off.
