Mesh WiFi satellite not connecting to the main router
The satellite has lost its connection to the main router. First, unplug the satellite and the main router for 30 seconds, then plug the router back in and wait 2 minutes. Plug the satellite back in and wait 3 minutes for it to reconnect.
Your mesh system works by having the main router and satellites talk to each other wirelessly. If a satellite can't hear the router anymore, it shows as offline. The quickest fix is to restart both devices. It clears any connection hiccup and lets them find each other again. If restarting doesn't work, the satellite can be too far away or blocked by walls.

Skip — I just want a technicianCommon mistakes to avoid
- Not waiting long enough after plugging devices back in. Give the main router 2 minutes and the satellite 3 minutes to find each other
- Putting the satellite inside a cabinet or metal bookshelf. It blocks the signal completely, even from short distances
- Changing the WiFi password on the main router and forgetting the satellite doesn't know the new one automatically
Signs you need professional help
- You've restarted both devices and waited 5 minutes, but the satellite light is still red or orange The satellite connects briefly but keeps disconnecting every few minutes You're getting an error in the mesh app that says the satellite can't be added
