WiFi drops out when the baby monitor is turned on

Your baby monitor and router are fighting for the same radio frequency. They're like two people shouting on the same channel. Most baby monitors use 2.4GHz, the same as your WiFi. Switch your router to 5GHz (if it has that option) or change your WiFi channel to one the monitor isn't using, and the problem goes away.

Baby monitors and WiFi routers both broadcast on the 2.4GHz frequency band. When they're near each other, they interfere with each other like two radio stations on the same dial. Your router tries to work while the monitor is broadcasting, and they jam each other up. Switching your router to 5GHz, moving the monitor away from the router, or changing your WiFi channel will fix this.
