DNS server not responding error on all devices

A DNS server error means your router can't translate website names into addresses your computer understands. This breaks the internet for every device. Restart your router by unplugging it for 30 seconds. This fixes it nine times out of ten.

DNS is what turns website names like google.com into the actual address your device needs. When the DNS server stops responding, your router can't make this translation, so nothing works. The problem affects all your devices at once because they all go through your router. Restarting the router clears it up immediately.
