How to print on both sides of the paper
Most printers support double-sided printing. Look in the printer settings of your document. It's called Duplex or Two-Sided. Windows Print dialog has it under Layout or Advanced.
Double-sided printing is built into most printers. It saves paper and money. The setting lives in your print dialog (the window you see when you print), not in the printer itself. You just need to know where to look and which setting name to find. It works the same way for any document, email, or file you want to print.
Fix-IT-Bot will walk you through each step — just tap, no typing needed.
Skip — I just want a technicianCommon mistakes to avoid
- Looking for the setting in the printer's physical menu instead of the computer's print dialog. It's always a software setting, not a button on the printer
- Assuming that newer printers automatically print double-sided. You still have to turn it on for each print job
- Trying to use the feature on an older printer that doesn't have it built in. Some budget printers only have single-sided printing
