Second monitor stuck on the wrong resolution
Your monitor is either not detected properly or Windows doesn't have the right driver for it. Go to Settings → Display → Advanced display settings and look at what resolution it says the monitor is using right now. Then change it to the correct resolution for your monitor model.
Your monitor needs a driver. Software that tells Windows exactly what resolutions and refresh rates it supports. If that driver is missing or wrong, Windows guesses at a resolution that can not fit your monitor properly, making everything look squashed, stretched, or tiny. We'll fix this by setting the correct resolution manually and then downloading the real driver from your monitor's manufacturer if needed.

Skip — I just want a technicianCommon mistakes to avoid
- Changing the scaling instead of the resolution. Scaling and resolution are different things in Windows Settings
- Trying to download a driver from a random website instead of the official manufacturer's page
- Not restarting the computer after installing a monitor driver. The driver won't take effect until you restart
- Thinking the monitor is broken when it's just set to the wrong resolution. Resolution changes are always reversible
