Seeing fake virus warnings or suspicious pop-ups

These pop-ups are almost always scams. Close them by tapping the X button and don't click anything else. Real Apple updates come through Settings, never through pop-ups.

Scammers create fake pop-ups that look like Apple warnings to trick you into downloading malware or revealing your password. Real iOS viruses are extremely rare because of how Apple's system works. Real security updates come through Settings quietly, not through scary pop-ups on websites. When you see these, you're safe — just close the pop-up.
