Screen recording not saving to your Photos on iPhone
Screen recording not saving is almost always a permission issue. Go to Settings → Privacy → Photos and make sure Screen Recording is allowed to access your Photos. If it's off, turn it on and try recording again.
Screen recording saves the video to your Photos app, but it needs permission to do that. If you haven't given it permission, or if something turned it off, the video won't save. This is a simple one-step fix — just turn on the permission in Settings.
Fix-IT-Bot will walk you through each step — just tap, no typing needed.
Skip — I just want a technicianCommon mistakes to avoid
- Forgetting to turn on the permission after updating iOS — iOS updates sometimes reset privacy settings
- Trying to save a very long recording when storage is almost full — it runs out of space mid-save
- Not realizing the permission is separate from recording — you can start recording but need permission to save it
Signs you need professional help
- Permission is turned on, you have free storage, and recordings still won't save
- You're getting a specific error code that doesn't clear with a restart
- Screen Recording won't even start — the button stays grayed out
