Screen recording has no sound when you play it back
Your phone is set to record video only without sound. When you start screen recording, look for the microphone button and tap it to turn it on. That captures sound. Turn it on before you record and you'll get audio.
Screen recording has an option to capture your microphone along with the video. It's off by default, which is why recordings are silent. Before you record, turn on the microphone button in the recording menu.

- Forgetting the microphone button is in a menu. It's not on the main Control Center screen, you have to long-press the screen recording icon to see it
- Turning off the mute switch but then hitting mute again during recording. Check the switch doesn't get flipped back
- Recording with your hand covering the bottom of the phone where the microphone is. Keep the microphone area clear
