Group chat not working in iMessage
Group chats stop working when iMessage settings are off for that group or when one person in the group has iMessage disabled. Force-close Messages and reopen it first — that fixes most problems. If it still doesn't work, turn off iMessage and turn it back on to reset the connection.
Group chats in iMessage rely on all the people in the group having iMessage turned on. If even one person has it off, or if your iPhone's iMessage settings get confused, the whole group chat can break. The fastest fix is to force-close the Messages app completely and reopen it. If that doesn't work, toggling iMessage off and back on resets the connection and fixes the problem.
