iPhone Do Not Disturb isn't stopping notifications
Something in your Focus or Do Not Disturb settings is letting notifications through. Either your Focus is set to allow certain people, or another app is overriding the silence. We'll check a few quick settings and get it locked down.
When Do Not Disturb or Focus mode isn't working, it's commonly because you've allowed exceptions for certain people or apps, or the setting isn't actually turned on where you think it is. Your iPhone has multiple places where notifications can slip through. We'll trace through the settings one by one to find the leak and plug it.
Fix-IT-Bot will walk you through each step — just tap, no typing needed.
Skip — I just want a technicianCommon mistakes to avoid
- Thinking Do Not Disturb is on when you actually have a different Focus mode active. Look at which Focus name is shown at the top of the Focus settings.
- Not checking your allowed contacts and apps. The most common issue is forgetting you added someone or an app to the exception list.
