What's the difference between 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi?
5GHz is faster but only works close to the router. 2.4GHz is slower but reaches much farther. Use 5GHz when you're near the router and 2.4GHz when you're far away.
Your router sends WiFi on two different radio frequencies. 2.4GHz travels farther and works through walls better but it's slower. 5GHz is faster but the signal doesn't reach as far. Knowing the difference helps you choose the right network for what you're doing and where you are.
