How much storage space do you actually need?
A gigabyte (GB) is about 1000 megabytes. A terabyte (TB) is about 1000 gigabytes. Photos and videos take up the most space. A 256GB phone is enough for most people. For a computer, 512GB is good if you store files, 1TB is better if you have lots of videos. Most people fill up their phone storage with photos, videos, and apps, not documents.
Storage is measured in gigabytes (GB) and terabytes (TB). One gigabyte holds about 250 photos or 1-2 hours of video. One terabyte holds about 1000 gigabytes. Photos and videos use the most storage because each file is large. Apps, documents, and music use much less. Your phone storage fills up faster than your computer because phones get more photos and videos. Deleting old photos you do not need is the fastest way to free up space.
