Game Pass games not downloading on your console
Game Pass games won't download because your console doesn't recognize your account has Game Pass, or your account isn't set as the home console. The fastest fix is signing out and back in to refresh your account, then checking that your console is set as home for your account.
Your console needs to recognize that your account has an active Game Pass subscription and that the console is your account's home base. If either isn't true, downloads won't start. Signing out and back in will fix most problems, and setting your console as your home console solves the rest.
Fix-IT-Bot will walk you through each step — just tap, no typing needed.
Skip — I just want a technicianCommon mistakes to avoid
- Signing in with a different Microsoft account than the one that has Game Pass
- Thinking you need to renew Game Pass when the real problem is the console wasn't set as home
- Not waiting long enough after setting the home console before trying to download
Signs you need professional help
- Your Game Pass subscription is active, you've signed out and in, and set home console, but games still won't download. You're getting an error message that says you don't have permission even though Game Pass is active.
