Camera footage showing the wrong date or time

Your camera's internal clock lost its setting or wasn't synced correctly. Most cameras should auto-sync time from the internet, but if it didn't, go to Settings and look for Time, Date, or Timezone options. Make sure the timezone is set correctly for your location.

Cameras have a built-in clock that stamps the date and time on every video. If that clock is wrong, your security footage will show the wrong time. This happens when the camera loses power, the WiFi drops for a while, or the timezone setting is wrong. Fixing it means going into the camera's settings and making sure the time and timezone match your actual location.
