How to set up motion detection zones on your security camera
Motion zones let you tell your camera which areas to pay attention to. Open your camera app, go to motion detection settings, and draw a box around the area you want to monitor. Your camera will then only send alerts if something moves inside that box. Most people set up 2 or 3 zones: one for their front door, one for the driveway, and skip the trees.
Motion detection zones are imaginary boxes you draw on your camera's view to tell it where to look for movement. Instead of your camera alerting you every time the wind blows a leaf, you can say 'only alert me if something moves near my front door.' You can create multiple zones for different areas. One for the entrance, one for the driveway, and ignore the parts you don't care about. This cuts down false alarms and makes sure you only get alerts about what actually matters to you.
