Security camera motion detection not recording at night
Motion detection at night stops because infrared (night vision) mode is interfering with the motion sensor. Go to your camera app and turn off the auto night vision setting. Switch it to manual so you can control it. Then test motion detection again.
Your camera's night vision mode works by switching to infrared light, which is invisible to your eye. This infrared light can confuse the motion sensor, making it miss events at night. Turning night vision to manual control. Instead of automatic. Gives the motion sensor a fair chance to work in the dark. If that doesn't fix it, the camera's sensitivity settings can be too low for nighttime.
