Security camera alert notifications arriving late or not at all
Your camera is not connected to the internet fast enough or your phone is not getting the notification from the camera system. Restart your camera and router, check that your WiFi is strong where the camera is, and make sure notifications are allowed in your phone settings. Most delayed alerts are caused by a weak WiFi connection.
Security camera notifications rely on three things: the camera seeing the motion, the camera sending that alert through the internet, and your phone receiving the notification. If any of those is slow, you get delayed alerts. The problem is almost always a weak WiFi connection or the camera is too far from the router. We'll check the connection, restart the equipment, and make sure notifications are enabled everywhere.

- Moving the camera indoors to hide it, which puts it far from the router and in a location with poor WiFi - this creates delays
- Assuming the camera is broken when really the phone notifications are just blocked in settings
