Printer showing a security certificate error

A printer's security certificate is either expired or hasn't been set up correctly. You can ignore the warning and click through to access the printer — it doesn't mean someone is hacking you. If the error blocks printing, log into the printer's settings and update or disable the certificate setting.

Network printers use security certificates to protect their settings pages, just like websites use them. When the certificate expires or was never set up, the browser gives you a warning. You can safely click through the warning to access the printer. The error won't spread to your company network — it's just the printer's own settings that are affected.
