Microsoft Teams screen share not working
Teams is having trouble accessing your screen. Turn off screen sharing, check that your device permissions allow it, and try again. If you recently started your meeting, wait 10 seconds and try again.
Screen share stops working when your system does not have permission to access your display, when Teams is not fully loaded, or when there is a connection problem between you and the meeting. We will check permissions, restart the meeting, and make sure Teams is up to date.
Fix-IT-Bot will walk you through each step — just tap, no typing needed.
Skip — I just want a technicianCommon mistakes to avoid
- Trying to share while another person is already sharing. Only one person can share at a time. Wait for them to stop sharing first.
- Not waiting for the meeting to fully load before trying to share. Wait at least 10 seconds after joining a meeting.
Signs you need professional help
- If screen sharing works in a test meeting with one other person but not in your regular meetings, the problem is the meeting settings or permissions. If screen sharing never works even in test meetings, give us a call and we will check your system.
