Microsoft Teams notifications not working on your phone
Your phone's notification settings for Teams are turned off. Start by checking if Teams is allowed to send notifications in your phone's settings. If Teams has permission but you're still not getting alerts, restart your phone and then check Teams' own notification settings.
Notifications need permission from your phone and from Teams itself. If either one is switched off, you won't get alerts. This is simple to fix. Go to your phone settings, give Teams permission to notify you, and then open Teams to check that notifications are turned on inside the app too. Both together take about a minute.
Fix-IT-Bot will walk you through each step — just tap, no typing needed.
Skip — I just want a technicianCommon mistakes to avoid
- Giving Teams notification permission in phone settings but forgetting to turn it on inside the Teams app as well. Both need to be on
- Having your phone on Do Not Disturb or Silent mode and not realizing it's blocking notifications
- Assuming the Teams app is broken when the problem is just phone settings. Most of the time it's a permission issue
