How to restore an older version of a file in SharePoint

SharePoint saves every version of every file automatically. Right-click the file, click Version history, and you'll see every saved copy with timestamps. Click the version you want and choose Restore. It's that simple.

Every time you save a file in SharePoint, the system keeps a copy of the old version. You can go back to any of those versions at any time. Nothing is ever lost. This gives you a safety net if someone makes a mistake or you want to see what changed.
