SD card not being detected by your phone
The card is either not inserted all the way, it's dirty, or the slot is broken. Push the card in firmly until it clicks, then clean both the card and the phone's slot with a dry cloth. If that doesn't work, try the card in another phone. If it works there, your phone's slot is broken.
SD cards are detected by a physical connection inside the card slot. If the phone doesn't see the card, it's because the card isn't seated properly, the contacts are dirty, or the slot itself is damaged. Most of the time it's just not pushed in far enough or dust got in the way.
