Android screen turns off too quickly
Your screen timeout setting is set too short. Go to Settings → Display → Screen timeout (or Sleep) and change it to a longer time like 5 or 10 minutes. This fixes it in 30 seconds.
Your phone screen times out and goes to sleep after a certain amount of inactivity. If that timeout is very short, your screen will turn off quickly. The fix is simple - change the timeout setting to give yourself more time before the screen sleeps.

- Confusing screen dimming with screen timeout - if the screen is just getting darker instead of turning off, the timeout is working correctly and you are seeing adaptive brightness
- Setting the timeout so long that you never want your screen to turn off - very long timeouts drain the battery faster
