Android screen stays on too long, won't turn off
Your screen timeout is set to a long time. Go to Settings, find Display or Screen, and lower the timeout to something shorter like 30 seconds or 1 minute. This turns off your screen faster and saves battery.
Android lets you control how long your screen stays on before it goes dark. Most people set it too long without realizing it's draining their battery. We'll find the timeout setting and change it to something practical.
