Screen flickering when brightness is turned down low
Your phone's adaptive brightness is interfering with low brightness levels. Go to Settings → Display → Brightness and turn off Adaptive brightness or Eye comfort mode. This fixes it for most people.
Screen flickering at low brightness is caused by adaptive brightness trying to adjust the screen automatically, or by a hardware feature that dims the screen to protect your eyes. Turning this off stops the flickering. If it continues, it is a hardware issue.

Skip — I just want a technicianCommon mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the screen is broken when the problem is just a setting. Turn off adaptive features first
- Leaving Adaptive Brightness on while trying to use low brightness manually. Turn it off completely
- Not restarting after turning off adaptive features. Restart helps the setting take full effect

- If the screen still flickers at low brightness after turning off Adaptive Brightness, Eye Comfort, and restarting, or if it flickers at all brightness levels which suggests a hardware issue, give us a call for support.
