Android voicemail notification won't go away
The Phone app or your carrier's voicemail system thinks there's an unread voicemail even though you've listened to it. Open the Phone app, go to Voicemail, and mark all messages as read. If that doesn't work, clear the notification manually or restart the Phone app.
Android's voicemail notification gets stuck when the app and your carrier's voicemail system don't agree on what you've listened to. This is a minor glitch. A couple of quick taps will clear it.
Fix-IT-Bot will walk you through each step — just tap, no typing needed.
Skip — I just want a technicianCommon mistakes to avoid
- Trying to delete the notification instead of going into the Voicemail tab to mark the message as read. The notification will come back unless you tell the system you've listened to it.
- Not realizing you might have more than one voicemail. Delete or mark all of them as read.
